Hello,
Joel Dussans shares with us his testimony following his SketchUp training with Adebeo.
– Could you introduce yourself in a few words (you, your activity, your background, your specialty)?
I have created the Ambiance Déco entity: my activity is to provide advice in decoration, interior design, renovation, but also in the design of terraces and patios.
The service can start from the simple advice on a project to the precise specification of each trade involved in the project. My clients are individuals who wish to change their interior or exterior living environment.
I am based in Bordeaux.
– How did you discover SketchUp?
In a discussion with an interior designer, I learned that SketchUp software was beginning to be used extensively by the profession. This tool seemed to increase his ability to design in 3D. Research on the Intranet led me to the subject: downloading the software, first tests, training, etc.
– How do you use SketchUp today, what do you use it for?
I use it in a simple way at two levels. Firstly, before any decoration project, especially space planning, interior design or renovation, in order to conceive, imagine and visualize the ideas and hypotheses of space planning. This allows us to validate and move forward towards the future project.
Then downstream, precisely in interface with the customer, in order to make him apprehend more concretely the result that one can expect on his project, as well as to allow him to make choices if several scenarios are visualized. Thanks to 3D, the client can better imagine the work and especially the final result.
– What is the strength of Google SketchUp in your business?
Specifically, SketchUp is useful throughout the project as a design aid, but also as an input in the dialogue with the client.
– What did the adebeo training do for you?
SketchUp is known to be intuitive. However, at least in my case, the adebeo training was essential and beneficial. It saves time in learning, while exploring facets of the product that I would have surely missed.
